Hello. I get frozen mice for my two snakes, but the last batch from my previous source included two bad mice, one of which gave my ravenous and tough-as-nails kingsnake very bad indigestion (I didn't realize the mouse was bad), so I'm looking for a new source of quality frozen mice. (fed proper rodent food, humanely euthanized, and frozen and packed quickly to prevent spoilage and freezerburn)

Currently I'm buying those ridiculously priced frozen two-packs at a local pet store to tide my critters over till I find a new source.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable source of quality frozen mice in the bay area? (East bay is preferable)

Or if anyone orders them online from a good source, any chance I can chip into your order to ease shipping costs for both of us?

Many thanks!

The East Bay Vivarium on 5th Street in Berkeley sells frozen ones, far as I know, and I would be shocked if they were not good quality.  They have a very wide variety of feeder animals.

Thank you, but unfortunately they're my previous source. (I'm sorry I didn't say, but I wanted to avoid politics.)

I like the place, and I've bought mice for years from them with no problems, but my snake was making sounds like a squeegee on glass, so I'm feeling pretty sore about this one bad batch.

That happened to me once too. When you're dealing that kind of quantity in something like rats I guess its inevitable there will be a bad batch now and then

I'm also looking for an online supplier of frozen mice, does anyone here use rodentpro or any of those sites and can give a recommendation? I can't believe I've been paying 2 bucks each for adult mice and 1.75 for pinkies in pet stores all these years and I really need to stop doing that...

I would only want the minimum order I'm sure. I have a ball python that needs large or jumbo adults and a baby king who needs pinkies.

Thanks guys.

I ended up ordering from The Mouse Factory. They're a little pricey for an online source, (a batch of 100 adults plus shipping ran $1.15 apiece and I'm dreading power outages) but the service was friendly, they're vacuum packed and look pristine.

As for me I looked into it and the shipping was too pricey to make it worth only ordering the minimum. So it's $2 pet store mice for me. :P

i have never encountered a single unclean , imperfect frozen feeder mouse from  The Mouse Factory - after recieving and selling thousands of them over the years at The Animal Connection . They are the Best .
