Hi, my name's Danielle and I work at a dog daycare. I was referred here from arachnoboards (which in turn was found googling jumping spiders).
My hobbies and Interests are drawing, YouTube, photography, gardening and .... jumping spiders! (Phidippus)
My mom hates large "bugs," but she lets me keep my little spiders without nagging me too much. Ummmm... she doesn't know they have started families yet. Teehee.
I'm very interested in all these topics here anyway because I love just about ALL things that walk on 6 or 8 legs. I'm sad that I haven't held a tarantula in so long. I held my neighbor's years ago and that was so cool.
Well I'm off to explore around here - later!

Great you found us. Welcome to SFBATS!
I have two female Phidippus johnsoni.
Both have egg sacs. One should be hatching soon and the other just layed one. We will see what come of it. _________________ Visit me @ Tarantulas.us

santa clara should have some pretty sweet bugs for you to find :)
i think you can find large and colorful flat millipedes, maybe Calisoga species, a variety of tarantulas and other primitive spiders, 3-5 species of giant centipedes, large california cylindrical millipedes, various assassin bugs
ooooh... Santa Clara is a beach town, right? you might be in range of the sand dune trapdoors! _________________ SCABIES invader! |

I'll check these out. I love the videos that have a tarantula egg sac pulled. I never knew their eggs were so big for spiders! My favorite one I've subscribed to is tarantulaguy1976, he's got lots of tarantulas!
Hopefully by the next meeting I'll have some jumper slings that are eating to show ppl. Haven't seen my adults eat for a while so I don't know how long I'll have them... _________________ - It's not a matter of IF you're bitten, it's a matter of WHEN! - |
