must have rubbed off on me today
found this pretty one about 5 minutes into the walk

isn't chamo cool?

then i found this little one

little fence lizard keeping a wary eye on gidget

and my favorite:Crotalus oreganus oreganus - Northern Pacific Rattlesnake

on the way back my dog spotted something

some kind of gopher the she blocked out of it's hole

and last, this handsome and brave fence lizard on the ground

when i flipped the log and saw it i waved them off and when i was irritating it with my hook for pics one of the chihuahuas came over to say hi and i had to yell at her but she listened and all 3 went off and played while i photo'd

honestly, it was actually really docile. it rattled at me but didn't strike once i didn't want to test it though
