Sounds like this could mean this is the molt to his maturaty. My girl took forever too. Make sure you got a water dish in the enclosure. _________________ Visit me @Tarantulas.us

Does this board have a chat room?? I'm beginning to think that's the way to go...
No movement yet or change which I can discern. I'm going to go imbibe some fragrant alcohol and relax as I watch.

That's really cool Peter! I think in my few years of ts I've only seen that maybe once possibly twice (I had so many at one point is was just inevitable). Another rare site is watching a T build and "use" a sperm web. Neat stuff, if it's 4" and you know it's a boy there's a super high chance it will mature. That should be a pretty big male rosie! _________________ A considerably greater amount of faith is required to believe that the complexity of this world happened by chance alone, rather than to believe there is a God.

Report: woke up this morning to find a red tarantula!! His new form is way pinker/redder than it was. I'm shocked. And he's huge. (If I hadn't dropped and destroyed my digital camera last weekend, I'd take a photo... but the replacement is due any day.)
I can't get a good look at its pedipalps at the moment to see if they're bulbous; is it not the case that if it matured, it would have both tibial hooks and "boxing glove" pedipalps? Or might those take longer to develop, or...?

Judging by leg length, carapace size and color, etc. I would bet mucho $$$ he is mature now. Very nice!
