By the time I got there there were gone.

Boy I hate getting up early, lol. And I didn't even find anything I wanted to buy. But it was a cool show anyways because I worked the SFBATS table (we don't have bats!!). When I was waiting outside for my brother to pick me up today a girl saw my SFBATS shirt and told me she was going to the meeting next week so I gave her my two-day wristband. ;)

I have ASL class tomorrow and my teacher always asks what I did over the weekend so I've been teaching myself how to sign that I worked at a reptile show and we showed bugs to people and kids, and helped them hold tarantulas and cockroaches ("tarantula" and "cockroach" might not be standard ASL signs but I got them out of a Signing Exact English book and plan to use them). Now I need to learn to say I saw a turtle with two heads. ;) Any other suggestions on what I should learn to say? "John's toy spider scared the crap out a bunch of little kids?"

It was great seeing you John and Lony! My boss really liked that L. para. Thanks for teasing it lol

It's too bad I only had an hour or so to look around (and it was more like follow around). I will try to help out next time, I'll bring some of my stuff to show too. I didn't want to run around freely after my boss brought me down and paid for everything in the first place, that's the only reason I did not do much see much or help.

Oh and it was good to see you Ricky and Ken too! Thanks for the trapdoor, so far I know it is an Ummidia species and the only one I have

Oh and good to see you also, Edgar. :) I wish I had more time to hang around the CRIS booth too!

Wow what a great show.

I am one tired bat, though. I need a giant rolling pin and a giant person to roll me with it.

Here are a few pics at our table at the show.

Rachel and John at the SFBATS booth

Rachel and John at the SFBATS booth... in a world absent of color.

Rachel and John showing some critters to some blurry people... the people were very fast...

Rachel with her new blur phase hognose.

Money in the Donation Jar. We got $100,500.00 in donations. Cool, huh?

And a shot of a super docile parahybana on John's head.

All in all it was a great show!

Thank you to Lony, John, Marlene, Laurie, Sparky, and everyone else who helped out at our table, this weekend!

It was super fun.
