they get tangled in the lines on the boat at least once a week, or they get hooked because the freaking mouthbreathers on the boat don't believe that they'll try for the fish coming in.

they're pretty hungry right now though, they'll eat anything they can. they're pretty easy to handle, no crushing power in their beaks and not very sharp either so i hardly ever bleed when i deal with them. cormorants, muirs, seagulls and shearwaters are a completely different story though
