spiders!Greetings! Thought I would come see what all you invert-folk were up to over here
While I am am generally known as a herp person I have passion for all living things, especially the "creepy crawlies." I spent many years life-listing reptiles and amphibians and of course those adventures brought be across many cool inverts. My most enjoyable recent experience was blacklighting in AZ last summer and seeing the desert sparkle with literally hundreds of scorpions (of about 4 species) on every surface- the ground, rocks, bushes, trees, everywhere! It was a great deal of fun and reminded me how much I enjoy such endeavors.
At one point in time I had an ENORMOUS collection of herp and inverts with representatives from around the world (many self-collected), but have since lost my taste for things in cages and prefer observing them in the wild now. I still have some critters that are close to my heart but in the future will likely only capture with my camera
I unfortunately can't make it to the event tomorrow but hope to meet some of you in the future!
Take care,
Sam
