SCABIES/joshr PLANS!!!
OK!  We have two primary objective species!

1) Aphonopelma cryptethum - Los Angeles Grey tarantula. http://scabies.myfreeforum.org/about1252.html This is a dwarf species and is found in northern Los Angeles county.

2) Calisoga theveneti - Gunmetal Blue Calisoga spider. http://scabies.myfreeforum.org/about1338.html This is related to the silver species, Calisoga longitarsus (which we will also be in range of!).  C. theveneti is known only from Mariposa county and possibly one other county. So we will be heading to central CA via the I-5 (i think).

both locations will have many other quite fascinating creatures in them... but those are the two high target species!  i just got off the phone with josh and we want to do a day for each.

So... what i need to know from you folks... which day would you like to hunt for cryptethum in Los Angeles and what day would you like to hunt for theveneti in Mariposa? we are trying to maximize the number of hunters that can go to both

i just had another idea... should have had it when i was on the phone with josh. dang.  anyhow... what about leaving at night and taking turns driving. we could arrive at Mariposa by like 7am pretty easily and ahve the whoooole day to look!  we could leave at like midnight and take turns driving again. nobody would get *that* screwed out of sleep and we would maximize the hell out of hunting time!
