I met Denise and Edgar at the incomparable Bug Fair down in L.A., and they made me buy the most perfect a. avic and register here. Edgar also made me hold his adorable (I want to say A. seemani, but is that right? It was so sweet!). It was doing that thing that dogs do when they give you "the look," except that it was transmitting its cuteness telepathically or with human-taming pheromones or something.
The moral of the story being that I started the day as the proud owner of a 3" b. vagans, who lives in her bomb shelter muttering to herself, and ended the day with the aforementioned a. avic, as well as a perfectly gratuitous b. smithi sling. Now that my coward's collection is safely underway, I don't know when I can get up for a meeting, but I hope to do so sometime.
When I'm not obsessing about what tarantula to get next, and how to break it to my long suffering family, I play mariachi music (vihuela, voice), write novels, and seek steadier employment as a math teacher.
It is my pleasure to meet you.

Sure, here's a problem to start you off.
A cricket has two fewer legs than my tarantula. The cricket loses one more leg in her attempts to escape my clutches. She disappears into the disorderly wreckage of my bedroom. My husband finds her two days later, floating in the toilet. How many flushes did it take before the cricket finally disappeared down the gurgler?

We must have met you while we were working at the Krazy 8s table, so that must have been Denise's Eupalaestrus campestratus, PZB that you held. :) It was a great show, and were there a lot of people there!
Glad to see you on here.
