Yeah, the San Jose and Sacramento show always have T's.

Unfotunately you won't see any Oxyuranus scutellatus, Dendroaspis polylepis, Ophiophagus hannah or Crotalus scutulatus at the show.

I did see some beaded lizards at the last San Jose show. They weren't for sale though.

No crots at the show...if you want to see 'em, visit Al.

There were T's at the show last year, 'cuz Al bought some there. Sac was definitely better for T shopping, though. (thanks, Ken!)

Bug Fair, Bug Fair! There's only one Bug Fair, but there will be another reptile show (that's saying something, coming from someone who's job involves reptiles).

I'll definitely go to the SF one since that's only 30 mins away, and I'll go to the San Jose one because I've heard of how awesome it is, it should be worth the 2 hour drive. :)

They finally got a celeb for us up here at the Nor Cal shows. Cool.

A big thank-U to James Tuttle for his excellent roommate referral service at the SJ Reptile Show. I now have a Pamphobeteus platyomma, a G. pulchra and the absolutely outrageous Ephebopus cyanognathus!

Reptile shows!!! I always say I have enough pets and I'm just going to buy supplies, but I mysteriously end up taking home some new critters.

This afternoon I chatted briefly with Ken the Bug Guy and James of Blaberus.com. These guys know their stuff and have quality animals. There were a couple other vendors selling a few tarantulas but imho these two had the best quality specimens.

I ended up bringing home a young Pamphobetus nigricolor and a B. vagans sling. I really don't know much about the P. nigricolor species but it was so gorgeous and James showed me it was not a picky eater. Its healthy feeding response was demonstrated when James dropped in a little roach. I also acquired the start of a Madagasgar hissing cockroach colony. I've kept hissers before and miss having them in the classroom to keep the annoying parents away. :)

I really should stop going to these reptile shows.... but I doubt I will stop!

Mike Troll was working the booth on Saturday, so that was probably him on Sunday as well.
