My leave of absence

Hello to all of the members of SFBATS.  As most of you know I will not be around physically with you during the next 6-9  months. However. I will be with you mentally and via the internet. In the next few days of being home , I'm going to enjoy my time and freedom that I will have.
Starting Weds. the next phase of my journey begins and it will be a new and challenging time for me and my family.  I will have 4days of chemo treatments, a bone marrow transplant  and months of changes ahead. I am up for this challenge. I know that God is walking along the side of me for the entire time.
Please feel free to contact my wife, Rena if you want to help or make plans to visit with me after I get out of Isolation Unit , 3-4 weeks. I will be staying locally near the hospital during the next 5-6 weeks after that on a outpatient basis for daily check-ups and treatments.
While I'm only a computer key away I am confident in all of the officers of SFBATS that they will continue with the high standards of our group and let all of the outside people know of what we do. Thank you for all of the things that you do to help grow SFBATS and to inform the public about tarantulas.

Don't worry, Fred, we will make sure SFBATS remains the premiere invert society in Northern California.  Get well and join us physically when you feel better.  In the meantime, we are all still here for you.

Get better, Fred. Everyone is thinking of you and wishing you the best as you go through this. This will all be behind you, in time, and you'll be able to get back to it.

Wishing you success in the treatment and a speedy recovery.

My hospital dates have been pushed back by 2 days due to insurance paperwork and approval.
So I go in Friday. I start chemo on Saturday thru Tuesday and get my transplant on Thursday the 16th
BayLee

Fred, I hope all gets approved fast and here are no more delays. It sometimes is a challenge to deal with these Insurance companies.
Let us know if you need anything.
