SFBATS Photo Contest Rules



CONTEST

o Photo contest is open to all SFBATS members. All SFBATS members who submit entries are eligible to win. There will be a separate prize available to officers who enter. Details will be posted at a later date, but soon!

o Each forum member may enter as many photos as he/she wishes, as long as the entries conform to the rules of eligible entries described below.

o Photos must include a living invert/bug (e.g. arachnid, insect, millipede, centipede, etc.) as the main subject.

o Photo subjects must be animals which you yourself own/keep or, if the subject is a wild native specimen, an animal which you, yourself, have photographed.

o Entries must be photos, which you, yourself ,have taken

o Entries must be appropriate for our family friendly forum

o Please keep photos below 900 pixels in either dimension

o Participants may use Photoshop or any other photo editing software, if they wish.

o Contest will be opened at midnight March 4, and will run through April 3.



PRIZE
o Photos will be judged by your SFBATS officers!
o Winner will be announced on Sunday night April 5th at 9:00pm
o Winner will get to choose a sling from the following list of species.

Aphonopelma chalcodes - Arizona Blonde - 1/4 inch
Aphonopelma seemanni - Costa Rican Zebra - .75 inch
Brachypelma albopilosum - Curlyhair - 3 inch
Brachypelma angustum - Redrump 1.25 inch
Brachypelma smithi - Mexican Red Knee - .75 inch  
Chilobrachys fimbratus - Indian Violet - .75 inch
Citharischius crawshayi - King Baboon - .75 inch
Cyriocosmus elegans - Trinidad Dwarf .75 inch
Cyriopagopus sp - Singapore Blue - 1 inch
Holothele Tachira .5 inch

Horrible Spider has asked me to submit the following pictures of her. She's very photogenic, and is particularly proud of her little pink ballet slippers.

My photography tends to (usually) be a bit on the peculiar side. I play a lot with TTV (Through the Viewfinder) layers to create shots that are moody and evoke a feeling rather than simply show the subject as it is. Horrible Spider was particularly interested in showing her darker side in these shots.



Okay, so this one is pretty normal. This is her baby picture, taken on one of her rare outings.
