lasiodora parahybana aka Brazilian Salmon Pink BirdeaterIs this tarantula not considered for beginners? I want to get this tarantula with a Brachypelma species. I just like how they grow really fast. I've read they are a little skittish but I've seen pictures of people holding them.
Thanks!

Some are docile and some others are not.

I have a nice 7 inch female that is puppy dog tame but then again I've seen some that are out for blood lol it just depends on the T but they are a fun species and they do grow fast.

Do you think it's a great species for a beginner though?
I'm probably not going to handle it unless needed(cleaning and stuff).

It's an easy T to take care of, so yes, from a "can I keep it alive as a beginner?" perspective, it's an OK T.
It is not a "great" beginner T. I would give it an 8 out of 10 as a "Beginner" T. Rosies get a 10.
Some folks like to go the beginner T route, some just jump in an get an OBT or worse. Really, it is up to you. You know yourself better than anyone(unless you are one of those who think they can sing but really can't, but I'm getting off topic). My approach is, if you like it, buy it but do your research.
