January SFBATS meeting

Hi All,
I know that it is early to start planning on this meeting, but I wanted to get a jump on it before we get too busy with the holyday season.
I like to do the planning and organizing, but if any one else wants to help me or give ideas please feel free to speak up.Let me know what we can do at this meeting that would be of interest to you and others.
Here are some ideas of mine:

guest speakers on different topics.
breeding demos
free drawings, like last time
handling demos,if we think it would benefit( I heard that Ken wants to hold an OBT or a King Baboon)
a tour of EBV??behind the scenes

Planning for springtime and other events around the year.We can start a new thread for this if you like.

I'm in. I'm doing a paper this quarter on tarantula biodiversity, could talk on that if your interested!

LOL@Fred, I'll supply the adult King Baboon for Ken to handle! :lol: That would be great if Marlene could present her talk on biodiversity and I wouldn't mind having James Tuttle give a talk on breeding feeders and/or importing.

I could help with something, but I cant give any demos or talks...but I can always provide food, lol. ;) Something like that. Fremont is about 2 hours from me though.

Every thing that you have up so far sounds awesome, I'm getting excited for the next meeting whoo hoo.

what day in Jan are we looking at? I'll be home for winter break during most of January, so i should be almost a for sure.

I would like to set up the date for the january meeting to be on Saturday the 19th.I have an obligation on the morning of the 12th.We will be meeting at ken and georgies house.i'll post more info as we solidify things and who the guest speakers are ,etc.

you're right the "w00t" word did just get added to the dictionary. i read about tha.t but in all honesty it was shear laziness that prevented the zero.. the "o" is one key below the "0" *shrug

i'll be at the meeting, my friend greg will be coming along again also.

also i have a MM G. Rosea if anyone wants him. He matured in early September. I know i saw a few posts of people looking for one, just not sure if you guys were still interested. Send me a PM or reply to this thread either way i'll see it. Only thing i'd want in return would be one of the spiderlings if the mate was successful, and i even have a container for that haha.

edit: MM rosea is now spoken for
