Hello from =vīnzbee=Hi everyone, a friend of mine forwarded me an ad on CL and that's how I found out about SF BATS, and I'm glad I found this group!
So, let me tell you about my Tarantula. I've only had Tabitha for about a year now. I got my baby Grammostola rosea on 03/07/08 so it's almost her birthday, well, not exactly, but you know what I mean. I got her because I've always been fascinated with Tarantulas ever since I was a kid because of their infamous reputation. So when I began researching a little about them last year before getting mine, I found out that most of what most people know about them are just myths! I was relieved and had an easier time convincing my family that it's totally safe to have one as a pet. My sister actually freaked out at first but after showing her a few YouTube videos and forwarding her some articles about them, she finally relented.
Anyway, ever since I got her, I never regretted owning her. She's very low-maintenance and she always catches the attention of anyone who comes for a visit especially during feeding time!
Since there's still a lot to know about them because they haven't been studied extensively yet, I'm excited to find this group and I'm looking forward to sharing and getting valuable information here! Thanks everyone!

invert related interests raising
reptile appreciation increased
increased gambling urges
number of friends/acquaintances increased
number of good times had increased
and last but not least the potential to own an awesome club t-shirt to sport around and say 'Yes, I keep spiders as pets' to random people that look at you funny.

The best part about side effects is waiting for them to happen. I feel the urge to look at more spiders.
