Hey Welcome and glad to have you here. What type of schooling did you recieve that allows you to dedicate your life to insects? Also do any pinning <-- New hobby of my'n
Ant_Lion1297

well i am not finished, but i am beginning to study, my major is Entomology and minor in philosophy, if all goes well i will be going to  UC Davis, and then hopefully later on in life i will be schooling at Cornell University...whats pinning?
northswan04

Yay UCD!
UglyKid2

Welcome, welcome! You might be sorry you joined us, we're addictive and so are the inverts we love...
Pinning is a strange activity where people like to pin dead bugs to boards, lol
Ant_Lion1297

haha no worries i suppose, oh yea i used to do that, catch field insect and pin them to a Styrofoam board, but i had a change of heart, its not fair to torture little creatures for my own amusement and personal enjoyment, i felt that i no longer was able to do that without having guilt placed on my conscience,  so now i enjoy them and observe them in their natural environment, and honestly they are a lot more fascinating to watch and observe when they are still alive.
Ant_Lion1297

How forgetful of me,I didn't even mention my name...Name's Orlando, and for some reason people tend to remember it...haha

You are forgetful, you did mention your name, Orlando.
Yes, I agree easy name to remember unlike SOME other members here, I won't mention any names....lol

Oh and I agree with you. I enjoy the wild much more then the dead.
Pinup bugs are no fun. Sorry, I hope I am no offending anyone. This is just MPO. I'd rather go outside and watch those little buggers vs seeing them in a display. They are beautiful but alive is much nicer.
Ant_Lion1297

hahah oops . Laurie was it? seeing them in a natural environment is unlike any other. and when keeping anything i try to simulate this as much as possible to give way for natural instincts, like I am sure a lot of you do.

No, it was not Laurie. The member of the opposite gender.
He knows who I am talking about...
llamamama

Ant_Lion1297

did you read the whole thread Laurie?
llamamama

Of course I read the whole thread.  I know who you're referring to...poor guy.  You really should cut him some slack, ya know.

No problem, Orlando.  We're very silly here, so enjoy the show.
BayLee

Laurie, I just can't. I called him by his wrong name twice on Saturday. I don't think he takes me seriously anyway.
But then again, his wrong name is not really that wrong!
llamamama

LOL!
