In case you didn't know this is poison oak. It can cause itching and generalized swelling in the area of contact. Be careful, scratching can make it spread. There may be a CDC sheet on this nefarious weed. Be very careful around it.(Questions should be relayed to "darthskippy") Crawling through it for reptiles has been a source of curiosity for years but most agree to a certain amount of insanity in the subjects observed.  [smilie=to funny.gif] Approach all P.O. subjects with caution. They may be herp "freaks".

ROFL!  I didn't go *through* it, I went *around* it...I know better.  But I had to take the pic for Skippy.

Eeeek, my skin is itching looking at that PO picture.

Nice pictures Laurie. I see you are getting used to your camera.

Who's Flora? And who needs a nursery when all that is out there to see? Great pics Laurie!

Hope your feeling better Skippy!

Beautiful pics!!!
I had poison oak all over my body and in my lungs when I was little. Someone in the campground next to use was burning it. Was really awful! All I had back then was calamine lotion. Today there's all kinds of remedies. I even heard you can go get a shot that gets rid of it. I sure wish I had that when I was little. I just had to suffer through it :-o

i got to stay home from school once because my eyes were swollen shut and i couldn't see

i heard of a guy that was severely allergic to it and so covered himself from head to toe when he had to clear a large patch off his property. everything went fine and he didn't get touched once.

then he decided to burn it instead of taking it to the dump... i'm not sure how long he was hospitalized for but at least he learned his lesson

I never even touched the poison oak. Only the pollen touched my skin and I had a reaction. I would most likely be in the hospital too if I ever touch that stuff.

I've had it body wide and it bites. Had to take shots for 10 days and swelled up bad at all my sweat points(elbows, armpits, backs of knees and other unmentionables). That's why I keep a hard eye out for it and avoid it at all costs. eusa_boohoo.gif
