does anyone use isopods?

Subject line says it all.  Wondering if anyone here has experience with putting pillbug/sowbug/smaller whatevers into moist cages to act as little garbage collectors.  In theory, I think this is an awesome idea and want to try it, but would like to hear commentary...

I have used both with my millie's and they have worked great.
I know some people use it with their T's as well, however I have never tried it.

Where did you get them?  The garden, or did you buy them?

Yes, I bought them. I would not take anything out of the backyard due to pesticides etc, even though we don't spray.

Here check out Peter Clausen's website:

I am wondering what the longer term affects of mold targeting isopods would be , if it would be similiar the  catch 22 encountered in other disciplines of keeping - for what goes in one end comes out the other in the form of ammonia , fecal fodder for bacteria and the decomposing bodies of hidden and deceased " bottom feeders"
My mind is open tho keep me posted
