I'm working on making some cards for us to pass out to people who are interested in our club. They won't be ready for the October meeting but I will have some done by the end of the month. I can send them out to whoever wants some. I'm probably going to print a few hundred.

I need your help though. I want to put something else on the card besides our name and web address, like just a sentance maybe saying what our club is about. Something like " a club for tarantula and invertebrate enthusiasts".
Maybe you guys can come up with something better! :D

It looks great except I prefer the bat logo design like the one in our banner above with the skeletal lines accentuated. Also its kind of hard to see the "F" in sfbats.org because of the design of the font but maybe thats just me? How much will I owe you for 100?

I agree with John on the bat design, I can see the F just fine.

Will the card have a section in the back for our name? I saw Scabies did have it, looked pretty cool..

The backside will be blank. I think the coupon I have says they have to be single sided to get the discount. I'll see how much more double sided would be though.
I would love to use the same bat we have for our banner but I only have a low res version and it won't come out good on the card.
Does anyone know who the original artist was? If they can send me a high res version I will use it. Or maybe I can re-create it.
We can use some donation money for the cards. I have to order by this Wednesday though to get the free 100.
I think I can fix up the SFBATS font a little bit to make it more readable. Will see what I can do tomorrow. :D

Ted is the name of the artist who created our T shirt designs and the bat on top of the bridge tower. Unfortunately he dropped off the grid around January and I haven't been able to get ahold of him. Maybe you can recreate the design or improve the one you have? I know its easier said than done so don't worry about it too much! :-?

The logo bat will look ok. It's not super high res but should show up fine anyway. We will have to do single sided ones this time but I'll add a place for info on the back for the next order. Here's the new design. What do you think?

Rachel, you are awesome! They look great! If you're in Petaluma this weekend, come see me. I'll be at the last Petaluma Farmers Market this Saturday. Just look for The Spider Queen at the Harvest Festival part of the park.
