Buggin adventuresAnyone interested in searching for bugs and herps in the Sonoma County area? I would like to go adventuring but it would be much more fun with a group.
I thought Lake Sonoma might be a cool place to check out, but if you know of another good area that would be cool too. :D

Sounds like fun. I've found some nice big tiger centipedes up at Lake Berryessa. Scorpions are everywhere in Napa and Sonoma. Should be fun. I'm in. Just another day herping. Only for bugs so yes, buggin' :P

Cool, maybe we can go early november. Probably not the best time for buggin but I'd be interested in anything we find. I've been wanting to go to Muir woods too. Haven't been there since I was little. I'm sure they don't let you poke around under rocks and things though since it's a protected area. Darn.

Count me in. Let me know when you want to go -- we have the "in" with the rangers there, so maybe we can have a reserved space for a picnic or something like that. Al would probably be up for going with, too, and he's good at looking for critters.

Calendar looks clear for the 8th, but I never know what hubby has up his sleeves. I might surprise him and tell him it is a romantic picnic in the woods and leave out that you guys are actually waiting... he he

Sorry to hear that Laurie, hope everything heals up nicely. General Ortega, BayLee and Ugly are headed to Skyline Park here in Napa today. Hopefully we'll at least find some newts or salamanders...
