Bringing bugs to meetingsI don't want to alarm anyone, but I have been receiving emails from someone at a government agency (not USDA though) asking about illegal insects that we might have at our meetings.
I want to remind everyone that our meetings are open to the public and anyone can come view the inverts we bring. If you keep any of the more questionable insects as far as legality goes, you may not want to bring them to the meeting (or at least don't have them for display on your table). I don't want anybody to get in trouble. T's are fine of course but if you probably shouldn't bring any non-native stick insects or beetles.
I don't think anyone is looking to get us in trouble, i just thought I would let you guys know.
