9 hours on one cricket??

The saga of the B. emilia I keep writing about continues.  It finally ate its first cricket since getting it from Fred... but it appears to have been trying to eat it for 9 hours now.  It was a pretty big cricket, and the spider is perhaps 3", but I see a mushy half of cricket body in its mouth, and it's been sitting there with it like that the whole time.

Is there any cause for concern here?  It's been six days since it molted.  I understand their fangs may be too soft to eat at first, et al, but my other spiders have not done anything like this after a molt.  Thoughts?

Also, how warm do you all keep your B. emilias?

Your T is fine Phillip!

My platty took 18 hours one time to eat a dubia roach.

The T would not eat if it was not able to or ready, so no worries.

BTW, I am just kidding about the name. I know your name is Peter...

My P. irminia slings take up to over 5 hours to eat one cricket. No biggy.
