How much fun would it be to do a Tarantula Secret Santa? We could pick names at the next meeting and exchange and the following one (even if it's after Christmas). We could put a $ limit on it, or do "home made tarantula related" or something fun like that.
I don't know why I'm thinking about Christmas so early except some very nice slings fell into reach and I'm excited to be picking them up this weekend! _________________ Your tools are only as good as you are.

Okay, so I suggest we organize it like this: Anyone who is interested in participating should implicate that on this thread. The condition is that you have to be attending the next meeting for sure. I will have a hat. Everyone who has decided to participate should come find me as they arrive (I'm usually near the kitchen) to get a square of paper to write their name, their handle (user id), and favorite genus on, and then put it in the hat. Say around 2pm everyone participating meets the hat in the kitchen or upstairs to draw names.
The rules of the gift should be tarantula related, no more than $5 if any $, creative, and you should have fun finding something or pulling it together. It does not have to be home made for those who don't feel artistically inclined. Scour thrift stores, old shoe boxes, etc for ideas!
What do you all think?
