Some pics from, today, Friday October 9 @ Tolay Fall Festival with Sonoma County Reptile Rescue.
It was Laurie, Al, Kayla, Bonnie, and myself, today. We had plenty more people this time, tomorrow should be nuts.
Here are the pics.
Bonnie & Al
California Rattlesnakes Display, oreganus, helleri, mitchellii, ruber, atrox, and cerastes were all represented here. It was a noisy table. lol
Laurie & Kayla
Kayla Kissing Peaches
Bonnie brought two young American Alligators that we were able to show, which was very cool :)
It was fun, as always. I'll be looking forward to helping out, again, next week!
Festival runs all weekend, if you guys want to go say hello and check out the activities.
SFBATS will have a room in the back with some T's on display, and come see the scorpion blacklight display. We share the barn with owls and other raptors, bats, and sea life, so come check it out this weekend!

Great pics Lony, thanks for posting! Our T room looks much better with the banner up...
If anyone has any cages/decorations/etc. they would like to contribute, please feel free to speak up. I stapled up four packages of plastics spiders on the walls, and put out cards and postcards on the shelf as well as the walls. The festival runs next weekend, too, so we can add to it. There is also a table near the display now, so that if any of you want to come and talk about or handle T's, there is a place to do so. I can't be at the display myself because I am with the Rescue's tables.
Thanks, Lony, for helping out today! _________________ The future belongs to no one.

The Tolay Fall Festival was a huge successs this year. We are looking at ways to improve the display area for the T's, and set up a better area for handling them next year. John and Lony came out last Saturday, and definitely rocked that area...they were a big hit, handling their critters and talking to folks about them. A big thank you to both of them for helping out and making SFBATS look so cool! ) _________________ The future belongs to no one.

The staff was very nice and big thanks to Nate for always making improvements along the way.

Since this is a Regional Parks operation, the idea is to stay away from the haunted house stuff that everyone else has, and to keep it nature oriented and education oriented. Thus, the rescue groups and SFBATS, so that it still has a "creepy crawlie" feel and is animal/nature oriented.
FYI, I don't think Nathan goes by Nate, or at least I have not heard anyone else call him that in the last two months.
