ABOUT US
You have joined the most active and fastest growing group of invertebrate hobbyists in Northern California. We exist to promote and support the invertebrate-keeping hobby. This includes providing a forum, in which members can ask questions, post their views and experiences, share ideas, and communicate with other members. We also provide a free classified section for our members.
Meetings
SFBATS holds quarterly meetings, in which we exhibit, sell/trade our inverts, and invite the public. SFBATS members also arrange trips and other activities in which other members are free to join. For information on our next meeting, please visit the ‘SFBATS Meeting Info’ forum section.
Volunteer
Our group is made up of individuals with a variety of talents, and we encourage each member to feel free to volunteer his/her talents to contribute to the group. If you would like to offer help, in anyway, do not hesitate to contact one of the SFBATS officers or make your availability known on the forum. :)

In addition to our main forum, SFBATS members may also join our social networking site. Members can create their own page, post photos, videos, events, and communicate with SFBATS members.

We also have a YouTube account where members may upload their invert-related videos and view videos by other members. Please, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel and contact Edgar Ortega if you wish to upload your video to our channel.

FORUM RULES
Family Friendly Forum
We want people of all ages and backgrounds to feel comfortable participating in our online forum and group activities. For this reason, please make sure that you do not post any explicit/obscene language, sexual references, or inappropriate photos. This also applies when choosing your avatar photos. We make every effort to ensure that our forum and activities remain family friendly.
Camaraderie
We value each of our members and share a unique interest. This hobby brings us together on the forum and at group activities to share and gain knowledge, meet other hobbyists, and provide a medium, in which each member can enrich his/her enjoyment of this hobby. We encourage and help each other to get the most out of our shared interest.
For this reason, we do not tolerate harassment, of any sort. Please, refrain from any putdowns/personal attacks, sexual harassment, constant passive-aggressive comments, threats, and any other content that would make individual members uncomfortable participating on our forum. Please, be respectful of each member.
Forum Threads
Be sure to keep all posts on-topic of the threads in which they are posted. Off-topic posts may be removed or moved by forum moderators. No thread hijacking, please.
Also, please, look through our forum index, and make sure your posts are placed in the appropriate forum section. All other topics may be posted in ‘The Vault’ for unrelated discussions.
User Names
Please, limit your participation on our forum to one username. If you wish to change your user name, please contact one of the administrators, and this can be arranged.
Photos
We want each member to get the most out of our forum. Many of our users log on from slower connections, so please, keep all photos posted at a manageable size. We suggest keeping the size of photos posted no larger than 700 pixels in either dimension.
