John invited me to help with a bug presentation at West Park Elementary School in Napa, where he works. We had lots of fun showing the kids all of the cool bugs we get to see, everyday, and talking about all the neat insects, arachnids, and other inverts we brought. The kids were great and got a kick out of seeing everything we brought.
We showed roaches, a spider, scorpions, millipedes, a huge centipede, John's Tanzanian Tailless Whip Scorpions, tarantulas, and talked about various bug facts.
After the presentation, kids ran out to recess looking for bugs! heheh
Thanks, John, for inviting me! Oh, and thanks Miguel for letting us borrow that big creepy, but very cool, giant centipede. Sorry, Andrew...I did not free handle it.
Here are the photos.
I guess they knew we were coming!
