Here's a weird one: a tarantula I ordered from Oscar Reducindo for delivery today (Saturday) is showing on the UPS web site as mistakenly addressed to someone in Moraga, but with my name on it! Considering there are so few of us in this hobby in the East Bay, I am hoping it's a simple mix-up between two orders. Note to self: this is why I hate UPS for overnight services. They fark it up every single time.
So - if anyone reads this and gets a shipment addressed to Peter Conheim, please let me know. This sucks!

Sometimes even when it is addressed right it still gets delivered to the wrong person. I've received stuff left in my garage for people living in the next cull de sac. Once I ordered some SFBATS T shirts and they were delivered to a shop in a nearby mall! Fortunately the lady who opened the package, on seeing that it was not stuff they ordered, then checked the label and gave me a call.
Hope whoever receives it contacts you! _________________ -Stew

Yeah, well, I drove all the way out to Lafayette and grabbed the package off the front porch of a very nice looking, fancy house in a canyon overlooking the regional park. Very swank.
Seller put the wrong address on the package, and I still have no idea if it was a swap or some other weird mistake. Inside was my boehmi. That would have been QUITE the surprise for the hapless resident at that address had they opened the box...
I also got a N. chromatus from someone in Texas today, and wow, I have never seen a spider which wanted so much water. It literally drank from the water dish for 6 HOURS. As soon as I dropped it into a tank, it went right for the water and stayed there. At one point it had its prosoma quite a ways into the dish, and at other times just the chelicerae. Incredibly strange. Must have been very dehydrated.

I am glad you got your T and thank goodness you saved the chormatus.
Someone really messed this one up!
You should get in touch witht that clown who put that one together and make a mental note ever to purchase from him again.
On another note, I wonder who that person in Lafayette was? _________________ Visit me @Tarantulas.us

Recently I was expecting a package of scorpions- but I got fly larvae instead! Seller made an honest mistake and sent the other guy my scorpions. Though it got me thinking... why would anyone want to buy a bunch of flies?!!
Glad you got your T! Also glad you gave that other T a water dish! _________________ -Stew

All very puzzling. The poor chromatus was in an entirely different shipment from a different person - who seems very reliable. I guess this one just got too dried out.
Glad you got your B. boehmi Peter. This was a mix-up on my end.
Have you checked your PM's?
Talk to you soon, and I apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.

Just a report to let everyone know that all is well with the B. boehmi. Oscar is a reliable guy, and it was a simple goof. Whew.
